In a fascinating encounter in the latest edition of NME, two modern day music icons have been brought together to sit down and set the world to rights in a posh London hotel.
In an interview with a twist, this weeks NME sees Ian Brown interview the global superstar Jay Z in the first of a two part feature which sees Jay Z turn the tables on Ian Brown in next weeks edition.
Ian Brown, whose new album ‘My Way’ was released last Monday, has always been open about his love of Hip Hop and relished the chance to interrogate the rapstar.
Jay Z meanwhile, revealed that his latest album ‘Blueprint 3’ was first conceived while on tour in Ian’s hometown of Manchester.
He explained that whilst playing a concert at the Manchester MEN Arena, Kanye West flew to Manchester to give him some tracks to rap to.
"He gave me 10 tracks, already sequenced, like, 'Here's the album, just rap on it…..That was the night 'The Blueprint 3' started”
