Duffy leads list of Polydor artists nominated for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards
A&M/Polydor’s Welsh wonder Duffy is nominated for three awards at the prestigious 51st Annual Grammy Awards to take place early next year.
Her hit single Mercy is up for the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance award whilst its parent long-player Rockferry is in the running for Best Pop Vocal Album. The chart topping songstress will compete against Polydor labelmates the Jonas Brothers in the Best New Artist category.
The Jonas Brothers released not one, but two albums in the UK this year via Hollywood Records/Polydor: their self titled debut and its follow up A Little Bit Longer.
Other Polydor artists nominated include Maroon 5, Lady GaGa, One Republic, Sheryl Crow, Kenna, Snoop Dogg and Mary J Blige.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 8th 2009 in Los Angeles, USA.
